Strictly’s Kay Adams shares an incredible nostalgic family photo

Kay Adams has just learned a valuable lesson in sustainability, not to mention sentimentality. The Loose Women star talks about wardrobe essentials she has been using since childhood and shares her favorite pieces with friends and followers on social media.
The Strictly star wore a classic Fair Isle jumper in a cute selfie to celebrate her 60th birthday in December. She looks comfortable in this cozy outfit with long sleeves, round neckline, warm colors and a traditional print that is synonymous with Scottish sweatshirt style.
Kay matched the selfie with photos of her mother as a child, also dressed in thick Fair Isle knitwear. Kay’s mother was photographed wearing a long-sleeved cardigan with a Fair Isle horizontal print collar.
The presenter shared the two images with her Instagram followers, captioning the nostalgic post, “Fair Isle knitting is widely used in my 60th birthday gifts. Swipe right to see why I think I, moms of five, would agree! #howtobe60 @brorafashion @eribe.knitwear.”
Fans love this post. One wrote: “Where did the pullover come from? You and the pullover look amazing!” while another commented, “Beautiful colors!” A third commented, “I love Fair Isle,” while a fourth commented, “Great Fairisle knit. amazing.”
Meanwhile, Kaye recently admitted that if co-star Ian Campbell proposed, she “wouldn’t say no” – so why did the couple never decide to marry?
The TV star and tennis coach met about 30 years ago, but are in no rush to settle down, get engaged or start a family. Speaking about starting her “unconventional” partnership, Kaye explained to the Mirror: “When I first met Ian, he was about 20 years old, worked as a tennis coach, lived half his life in Italy, half his life in Scotland, he’s not the kind of guy who’s going to calm down.”
